Don’t just “Set an example”…
‘cuz your Actions can’t be heard.

How about…
“Teach…with examples…
And you are the Example”?

How about…
“Be the Example”?

Of what, though?
An example of Bad-ness?
or of Good-ness?

A voice of boldness
where others seem to shrink?

An anchor of virtue
In shifting sands of values?

One who isn’t afraid to
Speak, and Live, and
Think, and Believe
Those very virtues
Of Good-ness
Of True-ness
Of God-liness
Of God.

Yes, Be That!

Don’t just Set the Example.

Be that Example!
of all that is
Virtuous,
Lovely,
of Good Report,
And Praiseworthy.

Speak!
Give voice to that Example
So that others may hear
What your Example truly says.

Live!
And your Example,
Lived truthfully…with heart,
Will be noted
By the very God who
Sees your Heart,
Your words,
Your actions
All together.

And you can stand
UNSCATHED
under the heat
of the noonday sun
Of criticism
Of persecution
Of false allegations
For you have been…
And you ARE…
TRUE.

An example of True-ness…
Yes.
